Privacy Policy
This policy says what Theo AI Tutor ("Theo") collects, why, who helps us handle it, and what you can ask us to do with it. Theo is made by Green Gables Studio LLC ("we", "us"). We do not sell your information and Theo shows no ads. Effective date: October 6, 2026.
What we collect
Theo has no sign-up: it does not ask for your name, email address or phone number. It collects what it needs to teach you from your photos, and information about how the app is used.

How we use it
We use your information to teach you, and to make Theo work better.
- To teach you: to read the problem in your photo, write a lesson for it, read your handwritten answers, and reply to them with corrections.
- To fit the lesson to you: how you answer changes how Theo teaches the next pages, and something you find hard can become a short practice session.
- To improve Theo: we review photos, lessons and corrections to find and fix mistakes — for example, to measure how accurately Theo places its red-pen marks. We do not use your information to train AI models.
- To understand how Theo is used: which screens people reach, where they stop, and which features help. We watch recordings of app sessions to see where Theo is confusing or slow.
- To run subscriptions: to know whether you have one, and to measure which Apple Ads ads lead to subscriptions.
- To keep Theo safe and working: to fix problems, prevent abuse, and meet our legal obligations.
We do not sell your information or share it for targeted advertising, and Theo shows no ads.
Who we share it with
We share your information only with the companies that run parts of Theo for us, and only what each one needs.

We may also share information when the law requires it, to protect the safety of our users or others, or as part of a merger or sale of our business, in which case this policy will continue to apply to it.
How long we keep it
We keep your photos and learning record for as long as we need them to provide and improve Theo, and delete them when you ask us to. Recordings of app sessions are deleted 30 days after they are made. We keep other information for as long as we need it for the purposes in this policy, or as long as the law requires. If we learn that information belongs to a child under 13, we delete it.
Your choices
You can ask to see, correct or delete the information Theo holds about you. If you are under 18, your parent or guardian can ask for you. Email greengablesstudio@gmail.com.
- Theo has no accounts, so to find your information we need the ID shown on the Profile screen in the app — a screenshot of it is enough.
- We will reply promptly, and within the time the law requires. When we delete your information, we also have it deleted from the systems our service providers keep for us. Some may remain in backups for a short time, or where the law requires us to keep it.
- Deleting the app does not delete what is stored on our servers. Email us to have it deleted.
- If you live in a US state whose privacy laws give you further rights, you can use them by contacting us. We will not treat you differently for doing so.
Theo does not respond to "Do Not Track" signals from web browsers. The website records how it is used, as this policy describes, whether or not your browser sends one.
Children
Theo is for people aged 13 and older. In keeping with the US Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), Theo is not directed at children under 13, children under 13 may not use it, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child under 13 has used Theo, email greengablesstudio@gmail.com and we will delete their information.
Because many of Theo's users are teenagers, anyone under 18 needs a parent's or guardian's permission to use it. We collect what Theo needs to teach and to improve, we do not sell information, and we show no ads.
Security and where it is stored
We store Theo's data in the United States, with Google Cloud. It is encrypted in transit and at rest, and your photos are kept where only Theo's servers can reach them — the app itself cannot read them back. Recordings of app sessions, which show your photos, are kept by Mixpanel. Access is limited to the people who need it to run and improve Theo. No way of storing or sending data is completely secure, so we cannot promise absolute security.
If you use Theo from outside the United States, your information is transferred to and processed in the United States.
Changes and contact
If we change this policy, we will update the effective date above, and tell you in the app or on our website before a significant change takes effect.
